VENDOR AGREEMENTS
Twelve device maker members form core procurement collaborative
Cupertino, CA - October 16, 2007 -- FOA Purchasing Partners, Inc. (PPI), the official group purchasing organization of the Fab Owners Association (www.waferfabs.org), today announced the first Preferred Vendor Agreements (PVA's) since its formation in June 2007:
- Avis Rent A Car System, LLC - National and International Automobile rentals
- Mazik Media - Publisher of Future Fab and Fab Engineering and Operations
- NationLink Wireless - OneSource™ - telecom expense management
- Corporate Express - business-to-business suppliers of essential office and computer products & services
- McCollister's Transportation Group, Inc. - logistics and specialized transportation
- VWR International - Production Supplies for Controlled Environments
"All of our Preferred Vendors have provided PPI members with verifiable saving over what any single company could expect to receive," said L.T. Guttadauro, president of FOA PPI. "This is the power of collaboration."
FOA PPI does member procurement studies leading to aggregation of demand,
procurement negotiations and contract administration for its members.
The current members are AMI Semiconductor, Austriamicrosystems AG, Avago
Technologies, Cypress Semiconductor, Diode FabTech, Fairchild Semiconductor,
International Rectifier, Intersil, Micrel Semiconductor, Microchip Technology,
ON Semiconductor, and Skyworks Solutions. The member companies had combined
gross revenues of $11.2B in 2006.
